Work developed as part of the BSc Product Design Major Project at London South Bank University.
Project awarded for efforts in category of the User Experience Development.
An exploration of the UX and UI Design. Thanks to this project I gained new skills and extend the knowledge on human-centred design, UX and UI principles and creating an interactive prototype using Adobe XD.

Summary
This project aims to reduce the electronic waste of household appliances by extending the products life cycle. E-waste crisis is a dynamically growing problem that should get addressed immediately. The full attention of the manufacturers and policymakers is essential. Unfortunately, the subject is very complex and started together with the industrial revolution. Nevertheless, the future can be changed, by introducing a circular economy model and de-materialisation of goods. However, none of it can happen without the change in human behaviour. Currently developing trend towards sharing economy and subscription services and the rising environmental concerns are in favour of the change.
Upkeep is a service which aims to close the loops of the electronics’ life cycle a create an alternative to the current model of ownership by offering monthly subscription plans. Through an online platform, user can discover the problem of electronic waste, learn and raise the awareness about the importance of the problem and subscribe to one of three plans targeted for main user groups.
I created a user journey to understand the pain points, brainstormed possible directions for the project. After making a decision upon features and functionality I created a task flow for my service, and low fidelity prototype to test the usability.
I created an interactive prototype using Adobe XD auto-animate function.
